Booking Your Project

First things first, let's take a look at your project. We've streamlined our estimation process to fit into your busy schedule, all while maintaining our commitment to accuracy and transparency. Using photos of your home from Zillow along with square footage details, we apply our standard pricing model to provide you with a detailed estimate without stepping foot on your property. This pricing includes all prep, paint, and Labor (Sherwin-Williams brand paints.)

Once approved, we'll pick the best time to start your project and you will select your new home's color palette! If this is the scariest part for you, we've got a list of our top exterior paint colors guaranteed to boost your home's value.

Reminder: The outside temperature must be above 55 degrees in order for the paint to adhere properly. We will reschedule your project if the forecast doesn't meet this requirement.

Deciding What To Paint

Step 1: Prepping Like Pros

Now that your booked, it's time to get started! As with any of our projects, 90% of our work is in the preparation. No matter what your home is wearing (Vinyl, Wood, Composite, Brick, Stone—you name it), our team meticulously prepares your home's exterior for the long haul. All we ask of you is to cut shrubbery back from the house and remove all objects that could interfere with our crew's access to the project area.

Cleaning: The first step is to power wash the exterior to remove dirt, mildew, and loose paint. This step ensures a clean surface for the paint to adhere to. Depending on the size of the house, it can take 2-4 hours to pressure wash and is included in your estimate.

Repairs and Sanding: Next we repair any cracks, nail pops, or damages that were agreed upon in our contract. This includes repairing small wood issues, re-caulking cracks and gaps, and scraping peeling paint. Rough spots are sanded down to ensure an even surface.

Protection: We take measures to protect your landscaping, windows, gutters, and non-painted surfaces. This includes covering vulnerable areas with plastic sheets, protecting walkways with masking paper, and using painter's tape to shield windows and trim. Linear masking is used to protect surfaces that are not being painted from those that are, i.e., a brick skirt on the house below the painted siding.

Step 2: Painting The Exterior

Here's where we get to the fun stuff. Needed areas are spot primed to ensure the paint adheres well and lasts longer. We apply a special primer to a porous concrete surface. You'll need to do this for all brick, concrete, or cinder block surfaces before painting if they haven't been painted before.

During the paint selection step, we ensure the proper paint is chosen so we've got the right tools and techniques to get that paint on smoothly and evenly. We start with the big surfaces, moving on to the trim, doors, and those special touches that make your home, well, yours. We always apply at least two coats of paint to ensure a vibrant, even, and durable finish.

Step 3: Clean-Up Crew

Once the painting is complete, we conduct a thorough clean-up of the work area, removing all equipment, materials, and protective coverings. We ensure your property is left neat and tidy, just the way it was. The final step in our process is a detailed inspection of the work. This ensures that the project meets your expectations and our high standards. We address any concerns you may have and make necessary touch-ups.
