Tips and Tricks

Environmental Factors

Consider the existing elements in your room, such as furniture, flooring, and fixtures, as these will need to harmonize with your new paint color.

Lighter paint colors tend to expand a room size by reflecting the natural light. Dark colors can create a sense of depth and intimacy in a room, but they can also make a space feel smaller if not used strategically.

Trim and Ceiling Colors

One of the number one things we see our customers struggle with is selecting a trim and ceiling color. Luckily for you, the best solution is the easiest: paint your trim and ceiling the same color.

Painting your trim and ceiling the same color creates a seamless, cohesive look that simplifies the room's aesthetic and allows other design elements to stand out. This technique can make a room feel larger and more open, especially in spaces with low ceilings, as it eliminates the stark contrast between walls, trim, and ceiling that can break up the space visually.
